Jesus Weeps for His Opposition (Luke 19:41-48)

Pastor Dale Jaech, August 16, 2020
Part of the Historic Lectionary - Trinity series, preached at a Sunday Divine service

Heavenly Father, when sin made us Your enemy, You wept for us. When we turned our backs on you in apathy and worldly lusts, You cried out for us to return. When we could not save ourselves, You sent Your only Son to suffer and die for us that all the grief and condemnation of our sin might be turned to joy. Give us, we pray, hearts that rejoice in the salvation Christ has won for us and are eager to serve You. Amen.
