“The Spirit Groans for Your Glory” (Romans 8:26-27)

Pastor Dale Jaech, August 6, 2017
Part of the ILCW-A Pentecost 2017 series, preached at a Sunday Divine service

Prayer: Heavenly Father, Your crucified, risen and ascended Son fulfilled His promise to send the Helper, the Holy Spirit to call us to faith by Your Gospel, to enlighten us with His gifts, to gather us into Your kingdom, and to sanctify us in perfect love toward You. By His power and aid, may we ever be ready and willing to bring our most heartfelt needs - no matter how inexpressible they may feel, to You in prayer, trusting in Your promise to hear and answer. In the name of Jesus our Lord, Amen.

Romans 8:26-27

26 Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. 27 And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.
