Knowing Our Savior: (Thursdays 10:00 and 11:00 AM)

Our abbreviated service with devotion provided to Sterling Heights and Bishop Care Center offer residence an opportunity to know our Savior more intimately through a short devotion on the Gospel lesson preached the Sunday prior.

Learning of Our Savior:

This is our Bible study class, in which we study a selected book of the Bible on a chapter by chapter basis, always with the eye to how each book and chapter point us to our Savior.

(Normally, we offer this class on Sunday morning at 11:00 AM, but in order to make time for our Confessing Our Savior class, we have suspended it until we are finished with the class.)

Confessing Our Savior: (Sundays 11:00 AM)

This class takes us through the Book of Concord, studying the Lutheran Confessions. The Book of Concord is a compilation of nine documents that state the correct understanding of Scripture. Currently, we are going through Dr. Luther’s and the Lutheran Church’s most basic confession: the Small Catechism.

Tuesday Morning Study Hour: (Tuesday 10:00 AM)

This hour of study does not have any one theme. Instead we take the opportunity to study many different topics. We are currently going through a study of how the historic church year flows together so that we can better understand the logic behind the readings selected for each Sunday’s Divine Service throughout the year.
